Rebel Man Triathlon

Today (Sunday) we got up at 5:30 and went to Oxford, MS (1 hr away) and Mom and 260-300 other people did too. The order of the race was swim, bike, and run. It was supposed to rain, but it did not.(yay!!) It was chilly and windy. Mom's official time has not been posted yet. She had 2 goals; (1st) wanted to be under 1hr 3min, (2nd) wanted to be under 1hr 20min. I think she finished somewhere in the middle of her goals. Pre race photo. A nice big smile.
Swimming 400 meters. 1/4 of a mile I think.

Biking 13 miles. Yes, she was like 1 of 4 people with a mountain bike not a road bike. Hey, it worked though, she did quite well.

Now the run, 3 miles. This has got to be some of the three hardest miles Mom has ever run.

Seconds after the race. Look, she still has a smile, after all that. Wow!!!!!!!!!

Mom and some people from our church who did the triathlon.

Store

We set up our store on Saturday and the girls have been shopping ever since. It is called M'KEMRAH'S Marketplace because M for Myriam, K for Kendra, E for Eryn...... We saved empty cartons, boxes, containers, and packages of food. We also invented game, like trying to find the most expensive items and the least expensive items.

Boat

We bought a rubber raft on Saturday. All day we took turns "rowing" in the pool. It did take us a while to get used to it and Mycah almost fell in !!!! Even Sarah got a turn to ride

Hannah

We were keeping two little girls (who are sisters) on Thursday and they were playing with Hannah in her room. One of the girls was 4 and the other was 2. The 2 year old was holding a metal baton and told her sister and Hannah that she was going to hit them!!!!!! (hannah and the 4year old were up in a bunkbed and hannah had a baton also.) Hannah said " I going to hit you harder." Then, she said to the 4yr old "No, you hit her. I don't want to get in trouble" :)

Big Top Cupcake

We borrowed a giant cupcake baking mold from our neighbor, Sarah Brashier, to make a cake for my birthday. It turned out interesting because part of the cake was falling apart. The icing was really good.
