Christmas

We had a great Christmas even though we had some sick kids. It takes forever for everyone to get and then get over the flu. There won't be any pictures because we got a new laptop and put the pictures on there, but I am still using our old computer because we have not figured out how to use the laptop with the router and it's really complicated. So no pictures :) I am so excited for the New Year and of course we will celebrate it right with lots of fireworks.

Christmas Program

We had a Christmas program at our church. The kids sang and Mary and Joseph and company did a little play. Hannah was Mary and she did a great job. Unfortunately we only have one picture.

Hannah and Sarah are great buddies. Sarah is so excited when Hannah comes home from TCPS because she has some one to play with. Hannah's teacher said that at recess, Hannah and her friend do flips and cartwheels. Hannah shows Sarah how to do

Christmas Decorations

We have decorated our house for Christmas. Everybody has a tree in their room. This pink tree is in Kendra's and my room.

This is a door hanger that I gave to Mom as an early Christmas present. I had a lot of fun making it for her. This tree is in Eryn and Mycah's room.
This is our family tree in our dining room.

Camping!!!!!

We went camping with our friends, the Bradfords. Mr. Bradford is the pastor at our church. They brought their 4 kids and 2 of their friends. Our aunt, uncle, 2 cousins, and Jack came. Jack is a baby that is in my aunt and uncle's foster care.

I think we are eating dinner.
Jack is 6 months old, but he is quite a chunky baby.
Group photo.
By the camp fire.
I'm not going to put a caption for this picture.
Silly girls.

Cooking dinner.

Pictures!!!

We took about a hundred pictures for our christmas card picture. The two at the bottom are my favorites. We have only five pictures of (most) everyone looking and smiling in the general direction of the camera. Sarah barely smiled and cried part of the time. I am so glad we do this only once a year!!!
This is the only good picture that we got of Sarah.

These picture are the two that I like.

Labor Day Weekend

Mom's sister and her family came to visit for Labor Day Weekend. Aunt Deborah foster cares for babies until they are ready to be adopted. She brought with her twin boys. They are three weeks old and they were so precious. On top is Eryn, next, our cousin Heidi, on the bottom is her boyfriend. Aunt Deborah is assisting. Raychel and one of the boys.

Kendra, Sarah, Hannah, our cousin Heather, and her husband.

Hannah, Sarah, Silas, and Ezra.

These babies were so very sweet.

14.2 Miler

Sunday morning at 5:00 am Mom did the Tupelo 14.2 Miler. Her time was 1 hr 49min. That was her personal best and she was pleased. Some of us got up to see her run. The weather was perfect for running. In the picture below is Mom and next to her is Jimmy Johnson. We got to see the sun rise and took a picture of our shadows waiting for Mom to finish.
Mom's time.

Hot!!!!!

You have got to live in the South if you.....

see that the heat index is only 111 and the day before was 117 and you jump for joy that the heat index is going to 6 degrees cooler.

see that the high temp for the next day is only 90 degrees and the low is 74 degrees and think yes it is finally cooling off.

If you are reading this and you are from up North, you are probably thinking what is wrong with those southern nuts, well we can't help it.

Our pool temp is 93 degrees.

Trip to Wisconsin Part I

We left for an 11 day vacation to Wisconsin. One of our stops included a visit to the St. Louis Zoo. We had a lot of fun even though it was really hot. Mom is crawling through a tunnel pushing a stroller.
Pelicans, I think.

Having a picnic lunch outside the zoo.

Wisconsin Trip Part II

Also we toured the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in St. Louis.

And what is a trip to St. Louis without at least one picture of the Arch

In Wisconsin we had a family reunion with Mom's side of the family. I think we had a total of 36 out of 52 people there. This is some of the kids on a trampoline.

After family reunion, we and part of the family headed up to family camp at Camp Forrest Springs. They recently added a high ropes course and dad did it with some of our relatives. It ends 50ft off the ground and you jump off and hit a tether ball. They are getting their gear on and learning how to use it.

Wisconsin Trip Part III

They climbed up on a rope net to get to start. Working together to get across. Dad is the one in the blue shirt.
I think there were 4 sections to cross on the course they did. There were 2 levels; Everest, the highest course and Denali, the course below it.

This is the Leap of Faith. You jump off of a 50 ft platform and try to hit a tether ball with your hand. Dad is doing it.
